— Why Wira

What Makes These Programmes Different

Study at a Considered Pace

No one is hurried. Sessions are spaced so that participants have time to reflect and return with their own questions. Learning that settles is more useful than learning that dazzles.

Very Small Groups

Group programmes are capped at twelve. Every participant can ask a question without raising their hand in a lecture hall. The facilitator knows every name by session two.

Notes You Keep

Each programme produces worksheets and annotated notes specific to your own situation. These are yours. They do not expire when the programme ends.

Singapore-Specific Content

CPF, SRS, Singapore Savings Bonds, MediShield Life — these programmes are built around the instruments and institutions that matter to Singapore households.

Education, Not Advice

Wira does not sell financial products. There is no commission, no referral and no product placement. What you learn is what you need to make your own decisions.

Facilitators with Experience

Every session is led by a facilitator who has spent years working with household finances — not a generalist trainer reading from a slide deck prepared by someone else.

Questions Worth Asking

Who are these programmes designed for?
Wira's programmes are designed for adults in their forties and fifties who feel they have reached a point in life where their financial picture deserves proper attention — but who have not had a good place to study it carefully. No prior financial knowledge is assumed. The pace is steady and the language is plain.
Is Wira selling financial products?
No. Wira is an education provider. No financial products are sold at or after any session. Facilitators receive no commission from any product provider. The programmes are paid for entirely by participant fees and that is the only transaction.
Where do sessions take place?
Group programmes are held in a seminar room at our Tras Street premises in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore. The Private Field Study is also conducted from this location, in a private room, across roughly three months of fortnightly meetings.
How long does each programme run?
Field Notes on Household Finance runs for five weeks, one session per week, each session approximately two hours. The Annotated Investor runs for eight weeks at the same pace. The Private Field Study takes roughly three months, with six sessions of about ninety minutes each.
What does the fee include?
The fee includes all session attendance, all printed materials and worksheets, and the annotated notes or bound study that participants take away at the end. There are no additional costs. The Private Field Study fee of SGD 780 covers the household, not per person, so couples or families studying together pay a single fee.
Is my financial information kept private?
In group sessions, participants are not asked to share specific financial figures with the group. The worksheets are personal and each participant fills them in privately. In the Private Field Study, all documents shared with the facilitator are treated with strict confidentiality and are not retained after the programme concludes.
How do I choose the right programme?
Send us a note describing where you are with your finances and what you are hoping to understand better. We will reply with an honest suggestion about which programme fits your situation. There is no pressure to choose the more expensive option — the aim is simply that you end up in the programme that is most useful for you.
